Fantasy Freeride League Scouting Report: 2015 Dumont Cup at Sunday River

2015-03-23

Joss Christianson - $34,500 - Owned: 41.49%

Always a contender in any slope event, Joss is one to especially look out for coming into the Dumont cup. He has done well in this event before and with the way he has been performing this season it would not be surprising to see him climb aboard the podium in Maine, it comes as no surprise that over 2/5 of the league has already added Joss to their line up.

Nick Goepper - $28,000 - Owned: 59.30%

Although he suffered an injury not long ago competing in the Red Bull Playstreets event in Europe, Nick has been putting out videos lately showing he is well on his way to recovery. Nothing has been announced as far as the likelihood of him competing in this contest but if he does he is a must have for any team.

Noah Wallace - $19,500 - Owned: 1.59%

This season so far has been quite the success for Noah, showing that he has the ability to compete with the more established names in the slope game and in many cases beat them. At only $19,500 it would seem that Noah would be a great acquisition to any FFL line up looking for those much-needed late season points.

Matt Walker - $19,500 - Owned: 1.51%

As one of the most consistent and smooth skiers in the game, it seems a bit odd that only 1.51% of the league have this slopestyle veteran on their teams. In a "rail heavy" course Matt's true colors may come out, showing that he could easily grab a podium finish in Sunday River.

Gus Kenworthy - $35,000 - Owned: 75.52%

After having one of the most dominant months in contest history it seems as if the streak has come to an end. Gus sustained a leg injury at the SFR tour forcing him to get surgery and watch from the sidelines for the next six months. This leaves over three quarters of the league with an extra $35,000 to put towards making up for this major loss to their line up.

Bobby Brown - $32,000 - Owned: 31.96%

As one of the most decorated veterans of the slopestyle field, Bobby is a major contender for a win at the Dumont cup. He always seems to find a way to go deeper on any jump than most anyone, which could prove to be beneficial in the slushy spring conditions Sunday River usually provides.

Alex Bellmare - $30,500 - Owned: 7.71%

Thus far this season has proved to be very good to Alex, as he has had what is undoubtedly his best contest season to date. His nearly unmatchable rail ability could prove to be the deciding factor in this course that has traditionally been predominately rails and this could turn out to be yet another huge result for Bellmare's landmark year.
